You state that Nadeau couldn't defend himself. He could have. He didn't have to drop to the ice and turtle. He could have held on to Roy's sweater so he couldn't deliver over a dozen clean punches. This isn't the first time a brawl has happened in a 1-sided game. Until there is something done to change the culture of the game events like this will continue to happen, especially in minor hockey. People forget that these are kids. 16-18 year old kids, who do not know how to control their emotions. Until there is something written in the rules, or CBA that outline strict punishment for teams that resort to thuggery in 1-sided games nothing will change. The only reason this incident is such a hot topic is because of who was involved. If it was any other goaltender I believe it would be a non-issue. There’s a few things that I disagree with.
